Police Minister Bheki Cele, officially opened the Dube police station on Thursday 25 April 2019 in Winterveld and engaged with stakeholders as part of bringing service and resources to the people.

The Police Minister was accompanied by the Gauteng Member of Executive Council (MEC), Mr Sizakele Nkosi-Malobane.

Speaking at the event, the MEC said this was a process to create a safe and secured environment and to reduce the alarming high proportions of crime.

He said urged the community to refrain from burning buildings such as this including other government buildings to raise their concerns.

“As the Police, we will do all we can to fight crime, use this police station to work with the police to report crime,” the MEC said.

In his address, Minister Cele also urged the community to take care of the building and to work with the police.
