The Soshanguve Saps has recovered a hijacked Porsche Cayenne after a shoot out with a ssuspect.
The Soshanguve SAPS Spokesperson Constable Zanele Mtsweni, said a 23-year old male suspect was arrested on 2018-04-29 after the suspect was injured during a shooting with the police. The suspect was identified to be in possession of a hijacked Porsche Cayenne, which was later recovered.
Constable Mtsweni said the police continue to work tirelessly to ensure that the community is safe and said there is an increase in car hijackings in the area.
“In the past few weeks, it has been noted by the Soshanguve SAPS that criminals are currently targeting unsuspecting vehicle owners from other provinces such as Mpumalanga, North West and Limpopo.
“The police are looking for two unknown suspects who have been identified in car theft cases. The perpetrators are in possession of firearms and wear balaclavas to cover their faces,”she said.
