Herman Mathebula (27) from Soshanguve grew up in Mpumalanga and moved to Gauteng in 2003 after losing his parents at a young age.
Staying with his aunt in Soshanguve, he had a dream to succeed and he enrolled for Economic Management Analysis at Tshwane University of Technology funded by NSFAS. He completed his diploma but due to being excluded from NSFAS, he could not pay for his fees to be able to graduate.
When he could not find work, he registered a company, Tswelopele Tours, after seeing a need in local schools for people who can help teachers at schools in organizing and facilitating both educational and entertaining trips.
“We started from nothing but today, Tswelopele Tours has offices in Block F Industrial in Soshanguve.
“When we started we were operating from a bedroom where I stayed and our breakthrough came after being able to secure a few clients. As we speak, we employ six team members.
“This is proof that much can be achieved if you are committed,” said Mr Mathebula.
Tswelopele Tours aims to strives for excellence in the tourism industry and create job opportunities in the tourism industry.
